Captivate 4 Thumbs Down :(

After using Captivate 4 to make a SCROM quiz activity I have finally made a stren decision. I will never again use Captivate 4 in making anything. It falls short in so many ways and the over all look of the finished products looks like it was made in the 1980's.

I will need to invest some money in Wondershare Quiz Maker... It's easy to use and the finished product is clean and is appealing.

Abc Japan is a great way to learn Hiragana. The site is better but still has a little to go into development. I have used the ABC Japan method of teaching Hiragana and have seen a great reward. Previously I used a different method with different results. What I have noticed is that ABC Japan does take longer and takes more effort but the reward far surpases the older method I used. Teaching Hiragana with culture and Japanese words gives students an explosive introduction to a script and culture.

Moodle and Flash

During the holidays I have 2 Major Projects..

1st is to fix Beginners Japanese Moodle Site... There are somethings I need to add and fix.

2nd Is to work on developing Flash based activities to incorporate into moodle and educational work. Students don't like conventional homework but with flash I can make it dynamic, fun which will not feel like homework at all...

I don't know if I should learn java to make my own flash or use a program... I think using a program will be a load easier than starting from scratch.. So there are 2 programs I will trial out and see which one you like.

3rd Project which is on the back-burner is to overhaul the Beginners Japanese Course and Change the Quiz to Flash Scroms/LMS... Now that I have the listening files and some ideas this will be a seamless exercise but it will take a load of time... but it will bennifit Year 10 and accelerate learners...

Year 12 Japanese Speaking Powerpoint

Over 100 Slides.... It took me a long time, make sure you go through it...

It's ok to memorise some Monologues but try and be natural know your stuff study vocabulary and grammar....

Remember Term 2 and Term 3 is all about revision, vocabulary building, listening practice and speaking practice.....

Speaking Exam Help

A Scary thought just occurred, As the year 12's were throwing eggs I realised we have 3 terms left off school when you think about it. Year 12 will go quickly and we have much work to do!!! But I have confidence in you all and I know you will work hard. The most important thing is to enjoy and improve. My dream is that one day you will go to Japan for a Holiday, University scholarship, Student exchange or even work there. So Next term we need to Focus...

Homework, Hard work, Listening activities writing activities and Fun... I need to work hard on Speaking drill games and make many reading activities for you guys to work on... Make sure you are familiar with the syllabus.

I'm willing to increase the work load and during the holidays I will be working hard for Year 12....

Also I will move you guys on to moodle...I'll make some documentation to get you going on Moodle.... but Its greater than a BLOG....
