Sadako Play Excursion

Today was a very good excursion. I've read "Sadako and the 1000 paper cranes", many times and the play was a great adaption of the book. The sets and lighting was great and the story a very moving one. The only gripe I had was that it ended quickly, but apart from that it was an excellent production.

It's a great reminder that War doesn't end once peace treaties are signed, but the effects of the War continue. It was good for my students to see a play where the character was a similar age, a character which had dreams and hopes but it was cut terrible short.
